Members of MISO
The Management Information Systems Organization has established the following requirements for candidates and members.

NOTICE: These requirements are currently a draft and have not been finalized. Individuals who are interested in joining MISO can join as long as they meet the requirements listed on the Join MISO page.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates are required to fulfill the following requirements during their pledging semester to become a member:
  • Turn in a completed membership application
  • Attend the initiation and officer election ceremony
All candidates and initiates are required to fulfill the above requirements in order to be initiated into the organization. Once initiated, members are expected to maintain active status each semester until graduation to receive honor cords. Members may be exempted from the requirements during a one semester internship.

Notice Regarding Membership Fees & Dues

At this time, MISO is not collecting membership fees and/or dues from candidates or members. However, as the organization grows it is likely that membership dues may be collected to help fund the organization's activities, scholarships, supplies, and other operational costs. 

  • Professional Activities - general meetings, guest lectures, and MISO sponsored events.
  • Service Activities - documented tutoring hours, volunteered hours for MISO activities.
